Grab a drink or snack and watch from your home every Thursday in August for a happy hour chat with a side of creativity featuring one of our Carter Community Artists and a Carter staff member. After the conversation, the featured artist will lead us through a stress-relieving, easy art project using materials you already have at home. 

This week, artist Lingchia Tsai and Carter educator Erin Long will chat about what they have been doing during the pandemic, Lingchia's experience as a Carter Community Artist, and how works in the Carter’s collection inspire them in their work and everyday life. Lingchia will demonstrate how to make Texas garden-themed thank you cards using the following materials: 

• Cardstock or regular paper (white or colored) 
• Watercolor pencils or colored pencils 
• Markers or colored gel pens 
• Scissors 
• Ruler 
• Glue 
• Pressed flowers or foliage 
• Contact sheet (like Con-Tact or another clear self-adhesive laminating sheet; if you don’t have contact paper, you can use clear packaging tape)
