Event Description
Celebrate two milestone anniversaries as the Carter honors America's 250th anniversary alongside the 40th anniversary of American Girl with a one-of-a-kind Carter experience.
All ages and dolls are invited to drop-in and explore the Museum together at this fun, free event. Through hands-on activities, gallery conversations, and immersive learning experiences inspired by the historical American Girl dolls and the Carter's collection, visitors can experience the story of America by journeying through the galleries to encounter American Girl's iconic characters alongside artwork from their historical eras.
Whether you grew up playing with American Girl dolls, are introducing a new generation to these old friends, or simply love American history and art, join us for a celebration of the stories that have shaped our nation. General Admission is free, but registration is required. Registration opens Friday, September 11.
It's a tea party!
For an extra special experience, visitors are invited to partake in a delightful tea party. The Carter will host three delicious tea services, with tea and an array of sweets and savories. Please note that while general Museum admission and event activities are free, the tea party is a ticketed experience and requires registration. Select a tea time at 12:30, 1:45, or 3 p.m. Tickets for the tea are $25 for Carter members and $35 for non-members.
