Event Description
No talking. No food and drinks. No text.
Come break the rules and say “yes!” to new art experiences at the Carter’s Second Thursdays! Each month you’ll find something different than the last—mingle with fellow art lovers, make art, and meet visiting artists, sometimes with live music and always with themed cocktails inspired by the Carter’s collection.
In March, meet artist Celia Álvarez Muñoz and learn about her installation El Límite and how the Carter’s José Guadalupe Posada collection inspired her work.
Schedule
5–8 p.m.
Make your own text and photo collage using artworks in our collection and enjoy drinks for purchase, including a specialty lemon Aperol spritz. Carter members get one complimentary drink! Lite bites are available for purchase at the Carter’s Food Cart.
Create your own artwork incorporating words and art with Carter Community Artist Diane Durant. Supplies limited to the first 200 people.
Explore how words and art collide with a photobook exhibition on view in the Library.
6–7:30 p.m.
