Event Description

Looking for Spring Break excitement and inspiration? The Carter has you covered! Enjoy this free, fun-filled event including gallery games, art-making activities, creativity challenges, and more. All ages welcome.

Schedule

1–4 p.m.

Use your senses to create sensational landscape artworks inspired by Morning Light: Photographs of David H. Gibson that look, feel, and smell as terrific as the great outdoors! Create your own zine inspired by the five senses.

Pick up a limited-edition zine by former Carter Community Artist Raul Rodriguez, filled with fun, wacky art games inspired by Charles Truett Williams: The Art of the Scene.

Go on scratch-n-sniff tours, play gallery games, visit the Family Pop-Up Space, and more!

1:30–2 p.m.

Join “Playtime with Prickles,” a special sensory circle time hosted by everyone’s favorite Carter friend, Prickles the Jackalope! Activity designed for children ages 6 and younger and their families.

2–2:30 p.m.

Enjoy an interactive musical performance by Brandi Waller-Pace, inspired by Emancipation: The Unfinished Project of Liberation, in collaboration with Fort Worth African American Roots Music Festival: FWAAMFest.
