Explore textile artworks from the Carter’s collection then create functional and special textile objects of your own. During this workshop, Seniors scouts will chat and work with local artists as they explore and create.

Explore the Carter’s exhibition Photography Is Art and about different approaches to taking photographs. Scouts will work with Carter staff and local artists to experiment with light, composition, motion, and storytelling through photography.

Cadettes scouts will explore exhibitions at the Carter and learn about different trees in the area from expert naturalists, then they will create artwork inspired by trees and nature.

Daisy scouts will explore examples of courageous and strong female artists in the Carter’s collection, then read Tula’s Story and engage with museum educators to create art inspired by artists like Mary Cassatt and Georgia O’Keeffe.
