Construction is taking place on Camp Bowie Boulevard through 2026. The Carter parking lot should remain open throughout construction.

• Traffic on Camp Bowie Boulevard, both east and westbound, is condensed down to one lane on the north and south sides of the median, respectively.
• Access to the Carter parking lot is only accessible from Montgomery Street to eastbound Camp Bowie Boulevard.
• UNT HSC parking lot, Clifton Street and Boland Street are only accessible from the westbound lane of Camp Bowie Boulevard.
• The Van Cliburn Way and Camp Bowie Boulevard intersection is now open; Will Rogers remains closed.

If the parking lot is full:

• At this time, UNT parking lots are not available on weekdays due to construction. After 5 p.m. on weeknights and all day on weekends, free parking is available at UNT Health Science Center parking lots. Access to the lot located on Clifton Street is currently only available from West 7th Street. Please note Camp Bowie Boulevard is not accessible for crossing the street for wheelchairs, strollers, or other mobility devices due to the construction.
• Paid parking is available in parking lots located on Gendy Street.
  • Museum members at the Friend level and above may request parking vouchers for the Western Heritage Garage located off Gendy Street during Museum hours. Members should present their parking ticket to the Carter Info Desk to receive the paid voucher.
