Field Trips

All tours are always free for students and their chaperones!

Ready to book your field trip? Complete the Student Groups Request Form at least three weeks in advance of your desired date.

  • Get prepared for your tour by reviewing the Field Trip Guide, available in both English and Spanish, including a checklist and helpful tips to make your visit a success.

  • Help your students get ready for their visit to the Carter with these pre-visit videos.

  • Before your tour, please let us know if your student group has specific needs we can support.

    • Bilingual (Spanish / English) gallery teachers are available upon request.
    • Translation for other languages may be available on request with at least two weeks advance notice.
    • Assistive Listening Devices are available upon request.
    • American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation is available on request with at least two weeks advance notice.
  • Bus scholarships (up to $250) are available for guided tours for K-12 students from Title 1 schools in Texas. Please note that a minimum of 25 students is required. To apply, please complete the Student Groups Request Form.

  • Bus parking

    Buses should drop off and pick up students at the Lancaster Avenue entrance to the Museum (3500 W. Lancaster Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas 76107).

    Buses are not permitted to access the Museum parking lot.

    Chaperone parking

    Smaller vehicles (cars or vans) may park in the Carter’s free parking lot, located on Camp Bowie Boulevard. Accessible parking is available on Lancaster Avenue and in the Museum’s parking lot.

    Please note that Camp Bowie is currently undergoing construction work. Find out how to access Museum parking during construction.
