Community Project

Inaugurated in 1886, the Statue of Liberty can be found just about everywhere in our visual culture: in movies and entertainment, product branding, clothing items, toys, and of course, souvenirs. The Statue has become not just a symbol for America but a timeless icon of the United States.

To highlight how often the Statue of Liberty shows up in our everyday objects, we are inviting our community to share their products, souvenirs, and more featuring the Statue of Liberty for a special section in the upcoming The Statue of Liberty from Bartholdi to Warhol exhibition.

Fill out the Submission Form to submit your item for consideration. We can't wait to show off your Statue of Liberty swag!

Please note items that will not be selected: edible or perishable items; anything containing liquids, gels, or glitter; weapons (real or toys); items that contain derogatory, explicit, inappropriate, or violent messaging or content; and original works of art.

The Carter reserves the right to decline any submission. Selected items will be on loan to the Carter from June 2026 through January 2027. For more details, see the Submission Form below.
