Different Ways to Say the Same Thing: The Books of Antonio Frasconi explores the unique artistic contribution of Frasconi to the history of the illustrated book. An American immigrant, Frasconi brought with him from Uruguay a multicultural outlook that manifested itself through multilingual children’s books and playful approaches to the book format. This exhibition in the Carter Library presents a selection of books and prints from the Carter’s collections to explore Frasconi’s dynamic vision of printmaking and artists’ books.
