Event Description

Inspired by the watercolor portraits in Faces from the Interior: The North American Portraits of Karl Bodmer, learn how to make your own figurative watercolor painting. Carter curator Spencer Wigmore will lead a tour of the exhibition and Carter Community Artist Brenda Ciardiello will teach figure painting using a variety of techniques. Participants will use either mirrors or previously sourced photos to explore watercolor, Bodmer's medium of choice, but on an exciting contemporary surface called Yupo. No previous experience necessary and all materials provided.

American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation may be provided during this event upon advance request.
