    u.l. to u.r. printed on paper label: Sin-te gle-shka, Spotted Tail. So called, it is \ said from his having once worn a headdress of \ raccoon skin, with the tail attached. Wrongly \ called an "Oglala Dakota," as the Oglala are \ the people of Ma-khpi-ya Lu-ta, Scarlet Cloud \ (commonly called "Red Cloud"). Spotted Tail was \ murdered in 18 by Crow Dog (?). \ [in graphite] Neg. No. 3118-9
