Inscriptions Recto: l.l. to l.c. printed in black, below image: 427 Rainbow Bridge, National Monument, San Juan County, Utah l.r. printed in black, below image: 2A116 Verso: u.l. printed: Rainbow Bridge is the greatest among the known \ natural bridges of the world and is unique in that \ it is not only a symmetrical arch below but presents \ a curved surface above, this roughly imitating the \ arch of the rainbow for which it is named. It is \ referred to in Indian myhtology as "Nageelid \ Nonnezohi," "Rainbow Arch." Its dimensions are \ 309 feet in the clear from the bottom of the \ gorge and 278 feet from pier to pier. Some idea \ of this size may be had when one realizes that it \ would span two of Salt Lake's wide streets, and \ with the "Mormon" Temple placed under it, there \ would be about one hundred feet to spare. u.c. to l.c. printed transverse: GENUINE CURTEICH-CHICAGO "C.T. AMERICAN ART" POST CARD (REG. U.S. PAT. OFF.) c.l. printed along left edge: DESERT BOOK COMPANY, SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH
