    u.l. printed: The Pueblo of Cochiti, ten miles north of \ Domingo, New Mexico, on the main line of the \ Santa Fe, was found by Onate in 1598 and was \ the seat of the Spanish Mission of San Buena- \ ventura in 1680. The church is still standing. \ In spite of the fact that the Cochiti are nominally \ Catholics they are intensely conservative and still \ preserve their ancient religious rites.
