Recto:
u.r. printed: COPR. DETROIT PHOTOGRAPHIC CO.
l.l. to l.c. printed: 6469 GRAND CANYON OF ARIZONA, FROM THE HOTEL EL TOVAR.
Verso:
u.l. printed: THE GRAND CANYON, sublimest of gorges, \ a perpendicular mile from rim to river (seven \ miles by trail) and thirteen dizzy miles across to \ the opposite canyon wall! Eluding all sense of \ perspective or dimension, outstretching the fac- \ ulty of measurement, a boding, terrible thing, \ unflinchingly real, yet spectral as a dream. A \ labyrinth of architectural forms, endlessly varied \ in design, fretted with ornamental devices, and \ painted with every color known to the palette in \ pure transparent tones of marvelous delicacy.
c.l. printed along left edge: "PHOSTINT" CARD. MADE ONLY BY DETROIT PUBLISHING CO. \ TRADE MARK - REG U.S. PAT. OFF.
