Street lighting by electricity \ has reached a high state of development in Den- \ ver. Not only does the city spend a large sum \ of money annually for artistic and effective street \ lighting, but the merchants vie with one another \ in producing sign creations that are dazzling in \ the extreme. The Gas and Electric Building, \ famous throughout the country for its lights, \ is one of the biggest features of this city.
