    Verso [vertical]:

u.l. printed: Standing on a ledge of rock within a few \ feet of the brink of the American Falls, we \ obtain a view of majestic beauty when we see \ this great body of water, of a transparent green \ color as the sunlight strikes through it, falling \ down over the high precipice of rock, and we \ are overcome with a feeling of awe and wonder \ at the immensity of Nature's elementary forces \ exhibited as this great volume of water rushes \ over the brink with a deafening roar into the \ chasm below.
