Virtual Art Tales: Understanding

Event Details

Event Date

  • Wednesday, July 1, 2020, 10–11 a.m.

Event Description

Join us from your home every Wednesday morning in July for weekly storytime in connection with an artwork in the Carter’s collection. After the story, we’ll walk you through a fun art project using art materials you already have at home.

This week we will focus on the theme “understanding” by reading Desmond and the Very Mean Word by Desmond Tutu in connection with Attention, Company! created by William M. Harnett. After the story, we’ll make paper hats to better understand the story and the artwork. You’ll need the following supplies:

  • Large paper (newspaper, wrapping paper, butcher paper)
  • Decorations for hat, like stickers, markers, colored pencils, etc.

Free. Reservations are not required. Virtual Art Tales will take place on the Carter’s Facebook Live.
