Event Description

Photographers flocked to the land that became Colorado when gold and silver were discovered in the mid-19th century. In tandem with the Carter’s new exhibition Come to Colorado, Denver Art Museum’s photography curator and Colorado-native Eric Paddock will share stories about photography’s central role in shaping Colorado's image as an economic resource and outdoor playground. He also will also relay share tales about the avid collector Fred Mazzulla, whose collection creates the basis for the Carter’s exhibition.
