Carter members and their guests have the first chance to experience on the groundbreaking work of more than 60 photographers working across the United States in the world-changing decades between 1945 and the mid-1980s. Black Photojournalism features over 250 photographs, highlighting the essential role of Black photojournalists in documenting both pivotal historical events as well as the richness of everyday life and offering a fuller and more nuanced portrayal of Black experiences in America.
