Creating Color: A Demonstration by Sandy Rodriguez
Free for Carter Sustainer, Patron, and Circle members!
Join Sandy Rodriguez in celebration of her first Texas solo museum exhibition, Sandy Rodriguez in Isolation, on view at the Carter through April 17. Along with curator Maggie Adler, Rodriguez will show us how to extract colors from edible and medicinal plants, insects, seeds, minerals, and the earth. Her exhibition features more than 30 works of art with handmade pigments emulating techniques that have been used for millennia. The demonstration will be followed by a lively reception with the artist featuring crafty cocktails!
Free for Carter Sustainer, Patron, and Circle members, but reservations are required. Seating is limited; advance registration is recommended. Email or call 817.989.5060 by March 16, 2022 to RSVP.
