Join us to experiment and create a work of art using thread, inspired by a variety of landscapes in the Carter’s collection. We’ll start the workshop with a tour of works on view with Carter curator Michaela Haffner before we dive into artmaking. Led by Carter Community Artist Rebecca Shewmaker, we’ll learn introductory techniques to embroidery before making our own work of art inspired by American landscapes. No previous experience necessary and all materials provided.
