    Autograph letter signed. Tells Dorr about plans made by Mentzel’s husband’s sister to take over care of their son Thomas because they can’t care for him properly. They declined her offer, angering her. Mentzel is eager to return to America, but they can’t come home until Thomas has his smallpox vaccination and that won’t happen until he can stand on his own. Reports on Mentzel’s efforts to arrange a Dorr exhibition in Stuttgart.
