Description
Autograph letter signed. Relates that her son Thomas has sung solos in two churches during the Christmas season and is to sing in a concert in the spring. They have taken him out of school and he is being tutored at home in music and music theory, etc. Mentzel asks Dorr if Barby is with her this Christmas and says Dorr wrote about how Barby is able to cope with life “as if Mayo (Barby’s husband) is helping her.” Mentzel thinks he is. Says his spirit is the only thing that lives eternally. Says as unbearable as it must have been for Barby, after the “Transition” there is a new life.
