Autograph letter signed. Expresses appreciation for the vest she sent him. Says it is very cold there and sometimes warms up to snow or rain. Also thanks her for the cookies which he says he and Carl loved. Reports his excitement that Betty and John are expecting a baby and he thinks it will be a girl - the first girl grandchild.
