Typed letter. Tells of Standard’s appreciation for the “poetic quality” of Nell’s “unearthly photographs” and suggests that the title of the album be written rather than gold stamped. Says he has attached “flat-pen trials” for them to use in any way they like. Also says her photographs are “memorably powerful” and took him back to his home in Ellenville, New York. Says her light shouldn’t be hidden “under a family bushel” and offers to arrange for the series to be shown to Oxford University Press, or Harper’s, Viking, or Random House and says he will give her a line of introduction to any of these publishers, if she wishes, because he likes the photos and thinks they should be seen by a wider public.
