Tells about her train trip from Connecticut to Texas to visit her daughter Barbara and her family and says she is empty handed, so she got off the train in St. Louis to find a pet shop and get little yellow lovebird for Robin who was expecting a grasshopper. Says the family was there to greet her and Robin was very happy with his gift. Reports that his [John Dorr’s] letter was awaiting her and there were little notes and gifts as well as flowers filling her room. Tells that the children look very well and are “a joy to my heart.
