Description
Autograph letter signed. Says she got his letter from Scotland this morning and that she is surrounded by Christmas litter and cookies, and tells that she is taking a little break for a while to get a new perspective. Tells him that she went to her favorite place - a sunny field with blackberries and pines - where she takes off her shoes and stockings and lies down and revels in the beauty there. (This page of a letter was in a folded paper that says on the outside: “Enclosed are parts of letters in Nell’s handwriting. The first pages are missing so the name of the recipient is lost. However, they are signed the way Nell wrote to John, and they were in a package of letters Nell wrote to him.”)
