Autograph letter signed. Reports being at Tasha’s [Tudor] house while Tasha goes to the hospital to be with her husband Tom who will be laid up now for several months. Asks him to try to get free from work to go to Mackinac to give them both inspiration for their problems and for “just living.” Quotes Rilke to him, saying, “This it is we must do, ‘learn to close over what is infinite.’” Says peoples’ lives are so cluttered, stimulated, and disturbed that only Divine guidance can help.
