Description
Autograph letter signed. Speaks of complaints about the complications of the New Deal Age and how much she loves living simply and peacefully. Says she may be foolish, but they can still be happy with a “foolish, wife, living in a foolish house, in a foolish way much better than trying to make the foolish way, the foolish house, and the foolish wife over into another New Deal experiment.” Says they have tried that every year, now they should try it her way once. Says she is hurt by his delay.
