Description
Typed letter. Copy of original letter. Thanks him for his very complimentary letter. In response to questions about technique that his readers are curious about, Dorr tells that she uses neither a light meter nor artificial light and she tries to be as unobtrusive as possible so that she doesn’t affect the naturalness of her subjects. She says her pictures are of people, places, and things that are dear to her. Her favorite camera is her Rolaflex, but the most significant aspect of her work is in the developing of the photo and that “there is no substitute for knowledge” in the darkroom.
