    Autograph letter signed. Peckett's On-Sugar-Hill letterhead. Says she likes his idea about New Fane and says that it is a special place for them since they got married there. Tells John that “you do not want a wife - you want to run a club yourself with a wife as exhibit II - and as company for the long night.” Tells that she does not want him to dismiss Justine and Charlie who work there. Says she needs her own home. Says when he is not running everything, he turns from “gracious to criticism”. She “can’t go on forever playing the game”. Says they must have understanding and truth between them.
