    Autograph letter signed. A second page may be missing based on abrupt ending of letter. Says she may have said at one time that she did not require “expressions of love,” but now that her daughters were gone, she is no different from other mothers. She is staying at Win’s [her oldest daughter Virginia] house, caring for Christopher while Virginia is in the hospital giving birth to Peter Michael Ashe. Dorr saw the baby briefly, but is mostly taking care of Christopher and the household. Refers to struggling with shopping and ration books.
