Description
Typed letter signed. Speaks of a crackdown Dorr has reported on the Montfort Brothers Monastery and Father Dumont whom Griffin will meet when he comes. Tell Dorr in strictest confidence that he is to meet with the Pope to share his knowledge of the suppressive, authoritarian attitude of some bishops who do not allow young priests to function and do not handle black people well. He is to teach two sessions [one week each] at Father Pire’s University and hopes to combine that with his audience with the Pope, He also hopes to be well and not in surgery at the appointed time. Plans to see her on April 11th, staying 3 days, until the following Monday.
