Description
Typed letter signed. Expresses pleasure that she enjoyed the Maritain works and discussed how Maritain had helped Griffin’s thoughts become clearer for the reworking of his book Scattered Shadows. Tells Dorr not to talk about his courage, that he “did all of Black Like Me strictly under religious obedience,” even though he doesn’t say that publically. Tells her that he is not a fighter, but that his life had put him in that position.
