Typed letter signed. Says he has been supporting Father Groppi [civil rights activist] in Milwaukee and exerting all the pressure he can within the “hierarchical framework.” He has been trying to persuade them not to listen to the racists and remove or silence Father Groppi, who Griffin says is very hated now, by his own colleagues and other Christian leaders.
