Typed letter signed. Glad the wedding was beautiful and thanks Dorr for the invitation to Villa Serena, but says she can’t get away. Expresses sympathy for Chris in Kansas, but is confident he will be able to help many. Says she is sorry Dorr doesn’t like the Center [Edward Steichen Center for Photographic Studies at the Museum of Modern Art]. Tells Dorr the “invisible glass” is necessary as she has just received word that 25 photographs from the traveling Steichen exhibition in London will have to be replaced. Fortunately the prints were made specifically for the exhibition and were not original Steichen-made prints.
