[typed on paper label]: View at one of the school houses built after \ 1869 (taken about 1872)-This was one of \ the day schools, taught by Mrs. Gillingham, \ who stands at the door with her husband. \ Agent Painter (father-in-law to W.H.Jackson, \ the photographer) sits by the window. \ J. Owen Dorsey visited this school in \ Oct. 1872, while Mrs. Gillingham was in charge. \ This building is still in use up to 1880.
