Ho-Chunk artist Tom Jones examines the representation of Native American life and history in both Indigenous and non-Indigenous popular culture. He co-authored the book People of the Big Voice: Photographs of Ho-Chunk Families by Charles Van Schaick, 1879-1942 and co-curated For a Love of His People: The Photography of Horace Poolaw for the National Museum of the American Indian. In addition to his artistic and curatorial practice, Jones also works in academia. He holds an MA and MFA in photography from Columbia College and serves as Professor of Photography at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
