Photographer and multidisciplinary artist Dakota Mace sheds light on the traditions and worldview of the Diné (Navajo) people. Her work specifically examines family ties, storytelling, and community through abstraction and alternative photographic processes. Mace earned her BFA in photography at the Institute of American Indian Arts and her MA and MFA in photography and textile design at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. As of 2024, she is a faculty member at the Institute of American Indian Arts.
