Event Description

Paper Forum members are invited to celebrate Trespassers: James Prosek and the Texas Prairie. Inspired by efforts to preserve and restore native grasslands, artist and naturalist James Prosek traveled across Texas to document a range of prairie sites. Featuring a site-specific mural, a large-scale silhouette painting, watercolor plant portraits, and trompe l’oeil bronze sculptures, the exhibition explores the allure of Texas’s grasslands while raising broader questions about the boundaries that shape, limit, and define prairie spaces in the present-day.
