Autograph letter signed. Expresses her thanks for In A Blue Moon. Says the memory of Nell helped her weather some disillusionments she experienced after seeing her last. Asks her for a copy of the picture Nell called “Song of Myself.” Reports her last visit with Manley Brower a few weeks before he died. Says he was very fragile and that he cried when he saw her. Tells that his mind wandered through the past and he was unlike his old joking self, all of which she found quite upsetting because he had been so good to her. Says her marriage to Jay who is an artist has led her back to her art and that she is now working in clay. Tells Nell that she would like to hear from her and that she received something from Nell that has helped her deal with the stupidity and meanness in the world.
