Annual Fund
Annual Fund contributions go directly toward museum operations, thereby enabling the Carter to continue presenting the high quality exhibitions and nationally recognized education programs that the community has come to know and value. Sustaining a strong Annual Fund is all the more critical in the current environment of stretched budgets and shrinking resources. We appreciate your help as we strive to achieve our 2009 Annual Fund goal of $300,000.
Amon Carter Legacy Society
Donors who remember the Amon Carter Museum through a bequest, planned gift, or other estate-plan provision are honored and recognized as members of the Amon Carter Legacy Society. Society members help ensure that future generations will be inspired by the Carter’s collection to learn about this country’s social and cultural history through great works of art. Gifts can be arranged to benefit one or more specific areas of the museum’s programming, including acquisitions, education, and exhibitions.
Every gift is important, and there are a number of ways to participate:
- Include a gift to the Carter in your will or revocable trust.
- Name the Carter as the beneficiary of a retirement plan or life insurance policy.
- Participate in an income arrangement for the benefit of the museum, such as a charitable remainder trust.
- Create a charitable lead trust for the benefit of the museum.
- Designate a gift of art that you have discussed with a museum curator.

Gifts in Honor or in Memory
Gifts can be made to honor a loved one or commemorate the life of a family member or special friend. These gifts recognize a special person, commemorate a birthday or anniversary, or help establish and preserve someone’s legacy. These gifts are used where support is needed most, and the Carter is deeply grateful for such gifts. A letter of acknowledgment and appreciation will be sent to the donor, as will a letter to the recipient of a gift apprising them of the donation in their honor.
Gift Membership
This unique and thoughtful gift provides a wonderful year of member benefits at the Carter, including free admission to special exhibitions; a subscription to the museum’s award-winning magazine, Program; discounts in the Museum Store; and members-only invitations to previews, special events, tours, and programs.
