The Stieglitz Circle
The Stieglitz Circle brings together people who are interested in the art of photography and in supporting the Amon Carter’s photography program. An annual program of events allows members to discuss trends in the photography marketplace, review prints, visit galleries and photography fairs, and meet with artists, scholars, and art dealers. In the process, group members exchange ideas about photographs and gain advice from museum staff on building and preserving their own collections of photographs.
Led by the museum’s photography curators, John Rohrbach and Jessica May, Stieglitz Circle members enjoy special previews of new acquisitions. The group applies most of its annual membership fees to the purchase of works for the museum.

The Paper Guild
The Paper Guild was created to help the museum acquire important nineteenth- and twentieth-century American works on paper. Members come together periodically throughout each year to share their passion for works on paper. The group gathers to discuss trends in the marketplace, review potential acquisitions, visit galleries and art fairs, and meet with artists and dealers. In the process, group members exchange ideas about works on paper and gain advice from museum staff on building and preserving their own collections. The group reviews potential acquisitions and applies most of its annual membership dues to the purchase of works for the museum’s collection.
