February 17, 2016 Amon Carter Museum of American Art Presents Free Family Fun Week During Spring Break

Families sit on the floor of the Museum's Atrium working on art projects.

Fort Worth, TX, February 17, 2016—The Amon Carter Museum of American Art announces the return of Family Fun Week. This free public program for children and their families is held during the week of Tuesday, March 15 through Friday, March 18, from 10:30 a.m. to noon, and brings the museum’s collection to life through art exploration and art-making activities.

“All-American Road Trip is the theme of our Family Fun Week this year,” says Jessica Kennedy, public programs manager. “Families are invited to come along on an art-filled road trip across the country. We’ll have a great time!”

Each day of Family Fun Week will share works of art from a different part of the United States—northern, southern, eastern and western. In addition to bringing families together to talk about American art and artists, visitors can make art as well. The Atrium will be filled with art materials so that both children and adults can put their creativity to use. Family Fun Week activities are designed for children ages 5 to 12, and a snack donated by Go Go SqueeZ will be provided.

Parents are encouraged to call 817.989.5030 or email visitors@cartermuseum.org for helpful information and parking tips. Tag your Fun Week photos with #ACMfamily. The Amon Carter Museum of American Art is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday until 8 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. Admission is always free.
