Event Description

Get your hands a little messy and learn how to make art with local artists in our quarterly hands-on workshops! These introductory workshops include insider tours and a unique opportunity to unleash your creative side.

Learn how to paint with watercolors and create your own artwork inspired by tasty snacks tucked into artworks in the Carter’s collection. Through Zoom, we’ll start the workshop with a museum staff member highlighting select paintings in our collection. Then, we’ll learn the basics of how to paint using watercolors with local watercolor and animation artist Volta Voloshin-Smith, who will help us create a delicious work of art! Volta runs the Instagram account @ColorSnack, which features cheerful and brightly colored paintings of her favorite foods.

All supplies are included. Upon registering, you will receive information about how to pick up your watercolor kit.

Advance tickets for Carter Society Members on sale September 10. Public tickets go on sale on September 15.
