Eleanor Jones Harvey, Senior Curator, Smithsonian American Art Museum

In discussing the Amon Carter’s painting by Conrad Wise Chapman, The Fifty-ninth Virginia Infantry—Wise's Brigade (1867), Smithsonian Senior Curator Eleanor Jones Harvey examines the role of American art and artists during the Civil War.
