American artists have consistently investigated the effects of darkness in their artworks and used the night as a source of inspiration within a variety of media. Even though the lights will be on in the museum, gallery teachers will take students on a “dark” journey through the galleries to look at and discuss artworks incorporating nocturnal elements.
Students will be divided into groups by age. Parents may drop off or stay with their students for this tour.
The Amon Carter will only accept registrations from primary caregivers. Registration for this program opens January 15.
