Amon G. Carter (1879–1955) acquired works by Charles M. Russell (1864–1926) through his friend Will Rogers and through his purchase of the collection of the famous Mint Saloon. This box of notecards includes three each of five works from the Amon Carter Museum’s collection: The Hold Up, Smoke of a .45, In Without Knocking, The Buffalo Hunt (No. 39), and Loops and Swift Horses Are Surer Than Lead.
