Additional Teaching Resources
The Carter’s American Art Connections Center has materials such as books for children and teacher preparation, videos and DVDs, and poster sets that can supplement the study of Frederic Remington, Charles Russell, and the American West. Materials are available free for loan to teachers in the North Texas area; teachers outside this area may find these resources at their schools or public libraries. Visit the AACC for a list of materials and check-out procedures.
The Carter’s education department has carefully selected websites with information and lesson plans to help enhance your and your students’ study of American art and related topics. Each bookmarked site is tagged with related disciplines and grade levels and routinely screened to ensure that the links remain viable and are appropriate for school use.
