May 27, 2014 Amon Carter Museum of American Art Names Stephen Butt to Board of Trustees

Fort Worth, TX, May 27, 2014—The Amon Carter Museum of American Art announces today the appointment of Stephen Butt to its Board of Trustees. Butt is the Senior Vice President of the Central Market Division for H-E-B in Dallas.

“We are so pleased to welcome Stephen to the Board of the Amon Carter,” says Karen Hixon, President of the Board of Trustees. “His ardent support of the museum, business acumen and civic responsibility make him a natural fit for the Board.”

In Butt’s 35-year career with H-E-B, he has served as Store Director, District Manager, Vice President of Grocery Marketing, and currently leads H-E-B’s expansion in the DFW marketplace. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Trinity University and a master’s of business administration from the University of Texas at Austin; he also participated in Harvard Business School’s Executive Education program.

The Amon Carter Museum of American Art offers outstanding exhibitions and public programs for people of all ages and is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday until 8 p.m. and Sunday from 12 to 5 p.m. The museum is closed Mondays and major holidays. Admission is free.
